Passion Is Key To A Successful Business
At E-Myth Mastery, Mastery Impact, and E-Myth Embark we know the importance of passion to the success of a small business.
Passion. Passion alone can make your business successful. As an entrepreneur, you are a passionate person. For why would anyone invest such incredible amounts of time and energy on something they have no REAL desire to do? If you do such a thing, then it's just bullshit. You have built an unreal, superficial way work environment and based on that you most likely are not very satisfied in what you do.
Being passionate means having the inner drive, desires to make your goals and achievements real. An entrepreneur is passionate at heart. He/She loves everything they do and when they work, they do wonders for the world and it shows. Look around at some of these businesses that we are all familiar with. Bath and Body Works, Jamba Juice, Bill Gates, Friendster and so on. They are all fellow entrepreneurs and they are all obviously very successful.

The Single Most Powerful Small Business Marketing Tool On The Planet
Let me get right to the point. The single most powerful small business marketing tool on the planet is a marketing plan. Now before you roll your eyes and run for the hills let me clear a few things up.
When I talk about a marketing plan I am not referring to those academic exercises found in college marketing books, or the templated mumbo jumbo found in business planning software. I will not be asking you to determine your share of the market today. Give me a break, share of the market, most small business owners just need to figure out to get ten more customers.

Top 10 Rules for Small Business Success
At E-Myth Mastery, we are always looking for ways to increase Small Business success. Here are some recommendations:
1. Target
You are not all things to all people. Decide on your niche--narrow your focus and broaden your appeal.
2. Be Different
If your competitors are doing it, don't. Stand out from an overcrowded marketplace where so much of the advertising and products look the same.
3. Build a Team
Don't hire an employee to fill a position. Employ a person to be part of a team to build your business.
4. Be Fast
Time is the most precious commodity. When delivery is expected Friday, show up Thursday afternoon. Return calls and emails now.
5. Say Thank You
A lot. Tell your customers and employees how much you appreciate them. Better yet, do it the old fashioned way: take pen to paper and write them a note.
6. Be Consistent
Make sure your business has a consistent look and feel. A customer must get the same flavor from everyone within your organization. Always.
7. Smile
Throw out the reasons you think people buy from you like price, product quality or your warranty. They buy because they like you.
8. Fanatical Optimism
The glass must always be half full. Attitude will always win out in the end and infect all of those around you.
9. Sell Soft
Don't ever hard sell. Solve problems. Satisfy wants. Do what is truly best for your customer.
10. Leave Your Comfort Zone
Never accept the idea that this is the way you've always done it. Never accept that a new idea or technology could never work for you.
